Most of the resort's amenities are located near The Leas, a Victorian boulevard perched atop a cliff. The older section of the town is close to the harbour below and features cobblestone streets. At the base of the cliffs, where a Martello Tower stands, is the bathing beach at East Cliff Sands. This already bustling resort now has a new energy thanks to the multi-million dollar town centre regeneration, which combines modern shopping malls with vintage stores, boutiques, country markets, and a busy Creative Quarter.
Folkestone Harbour is the place to be because it is now open every day following recent renovations. Excellent food, drinks, shopping, entertainment, and music can all be found there. Along the pier, small, independent businesses have opened up shop to provide visitors with a more enjoyable seaside experience. It is the ideal location to enjoy a top-notch sea view, with an on-site bakery and brewery to keep you fueled and a promenade out to sea.
The largest free adventure play area in the South East is located at Lower Leas Coastal Park, which is close by. During the warmer months, it regularly hosts theatrical and musical performances in its stunning amphitheatre. Why not explore the stunning wildlife, go on a mini-beast safari, or take a stroll through the flower gardens?
